    Militants may attack Amarnath Yatra next: BSF

    Srinagar, June 4: Right after second incident of Militant attack was reported at Anantnag, within 24 hours, a BSF Official informed about intelligence reports on a possible militant attack  on forthcoming Amarnarh Yatra in and .

    A top Border Security Force (BSF) officer said on Saturday that there were intelligence reports about militants planning to attack the forthcoming Amarnarh Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir.

    At the wreath laying ceremony in Srinagar to honour three BSF troopers who were killed in a militant attack at Bijbehara in southern Kashmir on Friday, BSF Director General KK Sharma told reporters:

    “Yesterday's attack on our convoy was sudden and unexpected. That is why we suffered casualties.”

    “There are intelligence reports that militants have plans to attack the forthcoming but we have made adequate arrangements to ensure an incident free Yatra this year also.”

    Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti also laid wreath at the coffins of the slain troopers.
