Mayor provides dustbins to shopkeepers

Jammu Tawi: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta today along with Anil Masoom Councillor of ward no. 10 conducted an extensive tour of the various localities of old Jammu City, met with the locals as well as shopkeepers, listened to their demands related to sanitation, street lights etc and also distributed about three hundred twin dustbins (Green & Blue) to the shopkeepers of Moti Bazar, Rani Park, Parade etc under “Swachh Bharat Mission” for collecting dry/wet garbage separately on daily basis. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that all the Councillors in collaboration with officers/officials of JMC is committed to provide better civic as well as development amenities to the people of Jammu in all the wards of the city and appeal to the general public to come forward & cooperate with JMC in all the initiatives taken for the betterment of City so that Jammu can be made really a  Smart City. President of the Moti Bazar association on behalf of other shopkeepers extended lot of gratitude to the Mayor, concerned Councillor & staff members of JMC for visiting their areas & listening to their issues and also assured that they will provide full cooperation to the JMC staff in maintaining their markets neat, clean & green.  Parveen Kerni Jammu East Mandal President, Dr. Sanjogita Soodan Health Officer, S. Hardeep Singh I/c Sanitation Officer, concerned Sanitary Inspector and other supervisory staff of Health section & team of Swachh Bharat Mission JMC, Chanden Gupta President Moti Bazar Traders Association alongwith other representatives of market were also present on the occasion.
