BJP has launched massive public outreach program from May 30 for a month in all the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in view of the general elections next year. The public outreach programme is part of the program of the party to celebrate nine years of PM Narendra Modi in the office.
It would be worth mentioning here that the public outreach program will also be a damage control exercise at a time when 25 per cent of sitting BJP MPs could not ensure victory of party candidates outside municipal corporations.
BJP high command has taken the report based on poor performance of BJP very seriously. That is why BJP national general secretary Sunil Bansal has been made incharge of public outreach program in UP. It may be mentioned that Sunil Bansal was state general secretary organisation when party registered impressive win in successive elections since 2014.
As a part of the month-long program, public rallies of BJP national president JP Nadda and important leaders in different parts of the state have been planned. Important leaders from all over the country including former chief Ministers have been given two three districts to look after outreach programs.
Beside holding rallies, meetings in Lok Sabha constituencies, seniors leaders will also visit the residence of important persons including sport persons and share meals with them. Chai par Charcha has been replaced by Khane par charcha. During month long program all the frontal organisations of the party and the Sangh Parivar will hold meetings from grass-root level to state capital and inform about the achievements of Modi and Yogi governments.
More than 1600 trained workers would spread the message of the party and achievements of Modi and Yogi governments through social media. There are reports that BJP will drop non-performing BJP MPs and field powerful leaders including senior ministers this time. BJP leadership has fixed the target of winning all the 80 Lok Sabha seats for the party. Home Minister Amit Shah who is personally monitoring the poll preparations in UP has told firmly, the state BJP has to improve on its 2019 performance and a minimum 70 seats is a must.
It would be worth mentioning here that in 2019 Lok Sabha elections , BJP had won 62 seats and two by alliance partner Apna Dal while 10 seats were won by BSP, five by Samajwadi Party and one by Congress.
