JU-FFC hold Marathon race to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti

Tawi, October 02- The University of Jammu in collaboration with Fist
Fighter Club organised the 2 nd  edition of the half marathon to commemorate
153rd Gandhi Jayanti. Prof Umesh Rai, the Chief Guest on the occasion flagged
off the marathon rally. To cherish & rejuvenate ideals propounded by Mahatma
Gandhi, one of which was emphasis on cleanliness, Prof Umesh Rai launched
Swachta Abhiyan on the Campus. Vice-Chancellor further added that
Under NEP 20,  is an integral part of the curriculum. Prof Rai on the
occasion congratulated organisers and the Non-Teaching Employees Union for
choosing 2nd October as an occasion where members of the University of
Jammu and the civil society got together to pay tribute to Father of the Nation.
Prof Prakash Anathal, Dean Students Welfare, University of Jammu, Former
Minister RS Chib and SSP Randhir Singh were Special Guests on the occasion.
The Vice-Chancellor in presence of dignitaries also distributed the medals and
trophies to the winner and the runner-up of the marathon.
