Jammu Tawi, August 26: Jammu & Kashmir Youth Congress organised a Sports event in memory of late Sh. Rajiv Gandhi here today.
With a theme “Hum Mein Hai Rajiv”, the event was lead by Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar, State General Secretary JKPYC and Secretary JKPYC Brinder Pratap Singh.
Bhullar said that to event is held to propagate the thoughts and initiatives of the Bharat Ratana, Rajiv Gandhi amongst the youth, farmers, women, labourer and every citizen of the country. He said the youth should inculcate Rajiv’s teachings on social equality inclusive development and global peace. He appreciated the efforts of Brinder Pratap Singh for organising Volleyball match in which teams from border belt took part. He also congratulates the Winner team “Samba Warriors” for their outstanding performance during the match and lauded the efforts of Captain Rajan Sharma and his team during the finals against the team of Bishnah. Singh said that government must address the issues of these upcoming sportspersons.
Sushil Kumar Bhagat, DYC President Samba accused the Government for ignoring youth on all fronts and especially not providing any support to sportspersons in J&K.
Prominent present during this sports event were Satpal Sharma, Rajan Khajuria, Jyoti Sharma, Vikas Sambyal, Bhanu Pratap, Sunil Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Munish Kumar, Aryan and others.
