It has been years since Imran Khan was seen on the big screen. Despite stepping away from acting, the former star remains in the spotlight due to his personal life. In a recent interview, Imran opened up about co-parenting responsibilities with ex-wife Avantika Malik.
The actor, who is nephew of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, revealed that he does not employ a nanny to help with parental duties. Imran stated that he personally drives daughter Imara to school and picks her up daily. When home, he aims to spend quality time cooking, playing and putting the child to bed.
Imran emphasized giving Imara special memories of her father’s involvement, just as he had with his own dad while growing up. Though divorced for two years, Imran mentioned that he and Avantika have jointly decided custody terms. Their daughter splits weeks living with each parent, staying with her father from Thursday to Sunday.
The actor shared that both he and Avantika ensure smooth co-parenting arrangements are in place. This allows them to divide duties while providing stability and routine for their daughter. Imran is currently dating actress Lekha Washington but remains devoted to his role as a hands-on father.
After impressing audiences with his debut Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Imran scaled down his acting career following Katti Batti. This move has enabled him to focus fully on parenting without professional commitments getting in the way. Fans are now speculating if the family time may result in Imran’s return to the big screen.
