HC seeks DGP’s appearance in contempt case

Tawi, May 20: The High Court of J&K in a contempt proceedings filed against the non-compliance of its order passed on 03.05.2017 in OWP 632/17 titled Smt Shashi Thakur Vs State of J&K directing the DGP, J&K Police to take appropriate action and provide police protection to the petitioner within three days from the date of receipt of her representation.

The petitioner has approached the High Court for non-compliance of its direction and sought contempt proceedings against the DGP.

The HC has issued notice of appearance of DGP in person or through his attorney on 22.05.2017.
