G-20 meeting in Gulmarg cancelled due to logistic issues: LG

Date:

Baramulla, May 30: 's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Tuesday said that the G-20 meeting couldn't take place in the ski-resort of Gulmarg due time constraints and logistic issues. He, however, stated that the successful event in Srinagar will ensure a huge number of foreign tourist arrivals at the ski-resort in the ensuing year.
The LG stated this after inaugurating the several key infrastructure projects that include seven Custom Hiring Centres for farmers and nine Poly Green Houses for Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Baramulla district. “Baramulla district has a history of valour and courage. This aspirational district has transformed itself into a centre of economic importance in the last few years,” the LG said.
