Dwivedi inaugurates new upgraded database of ACB

    Srinagar, Dec 09 (KNO): On the occasion of World Anti Corruption Day, Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD) Manoj Kumar Dwivedi visited Anti corruption Bureau headquarters on Thursday.

     

    He also inaugurated the new upgraded database of J&K Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in presence of Director Anti Corruption Bureau Anand Jain, Shabir Hussain Bhat, Special Secretary, (Vigilance) GAD and other Officials of ACB.

     

    According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Commissioner Secretary GAD launched new Database Management Systems Software.

     

    The database of all the government employees against whom any vigilance matter is pending is maintained for reference and record.

     

    On the basis of database, No objection Certificate requests are processed by ACB in favour of employees as and when required. The new database will have ease of issuance of NOC of employees in faster manner. It is to be noted that Vigilance Clearance System has been made online and departments/ employees have benefitted in large manner. The new database software will further enhance the vigilance clearance system of ACB, the statement said.

     

    Dwivedi added that technological initiatives like implementation of e-Office, online Vigilance Clearance System and new Database Management System will help in faster disposal of the issues pending at the level of ACB and GAD as well.

     

    He further added that during the last two years a record number of prosecutions have sanctioned which has paved the way for speedy disposal of the cases. He emphasized on time bound completion of Departmental enquiries and laid stress on seeking feedback from Departments on Alert notes and Advisories.

     

    A detailed presentation regarding issues of ACB was given by Director Anti Corruption Bureau. Director ACB apprised Commissioner Secretary, GAD that owing to the introduction of Whatsapp Helpline, Toll free number, Satrak Nagrik Mobile Application, there is tremendous increase in the inflow of information regarding corruption by government employees. This year there is more than 100% increase in trap cases than last year.

     

    Various issues of ACB were also discussed in the meeting.

     

    Commissioner Secretary GAD observed that delay in Regular Departmental Actions (RDAs) with various departments needs to be examined and system for capacity building of Inquiry Officers is need of hour.

     

    He complimented Director Anti Corruption Bureau, Anand Jain and his team for taking various initiatives in developing this application for faster disposal of the requests for NOC of employees—(KNO)
