COVID SOPs modified: Shops, stores to open till 6 pm in Dist Jammu

Tawi, June 13: In an attempt to ease lockdown restrictions in Jammu District, Anshul Garg District Magistrate, Jammu issued new SOPs for regulating markets and businesses and other activities in Jammu.

The order reads: It is hereby ordered that all instructions and guidelines issued by this office vide above quoted orders shall continue to be in force in the entire jurisdiction of District Jammu, with following modifications, till further orders:-

All kinds of Wholesale Establishments shall be allowed to open for 4 (four) days from Monday to Thursday up to 6.00 PM.

The Retail shops and establishments shall open as per the schedule given below:

GROUP I- MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY (UPTO 6.00 PM)

  1. Mega marts, Groceries, Departmental Stores, Confectionery Shops
  2. Electrical & Electronic Appliances Shops, IT & Computer Shops
  3. Automobile Showrooms and Workshops, Service Stations, Cycle Shops, Spare part shops & Toy shops, Barber Shops, Saloons and Parlours; Liquor Shops, Hardware, Cement, Building Material and Sanitary Goods Stores, Glass Houses

GROUP 2 -TUESDAY AND THURSDAY (UPTO 6.00 PM)

  1. Cloth and Readymade Garments Shops, Home Furnishing item Shops, Shoes & Chappal Stores
  2. Cosmetic Shops, Tailor shops and Boutiques
  3. Jewellery Shops and showrooms, Furniture Showrooms and Stores Gift Shops, Shops dealing with Pooja items, Utensils and Crockery Stores
  4. Typing & Printing shops, Photostat shops

FRIDAY (UPTO 6.00 PM)

All Retail shops of Group 1& Group II are allowed to open on Friday. All other Guidelines and SOPs as mentioned in above referred Government orders of State Executive Committee (SEC) shall continue to remain applicable;
