COVID: 4 die, 444 test positive in J&K

Tawi, Jun 23: At least four persons, who were tested positive for Covid, died in the last 24 hours in Jammu and while 444 fresh positive cases have been reported in the Union Territory, government said on Wednesday.

According to the government, out of 444 positive cases detected today, 138 are from Jammu division while 306 have been reported from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 313028.

The official figures available said that four persons—two each from Jammu and Kashmir have died in the last 24 hours due to the virus.

Moreover, 839 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 250 from Jammu Division and 589 from Kashmir Division.

Besides, the government said that one more mucormycosis case has been reported today, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 26 in the UT of J&K.
