Consumer Sentiment Survey

Date:

With the Prime Minister Narendra Modi starting his second innings, expectations are high from various quarters and positive signs are being witnessed in multiple sectors.
The government should take steps to fulfil all possible aspirations of this country. In a development that could ensure all-round growth, a latest study has found tier 2 and 3 cities are the new draws for over 25 per cent real estate investors.
“Property investors are now looking at smaller towns and cities. However, their increasing bullishness on Tier 2 & 3 cities as against their tier 1 counterparts is not just on account of their relatively more affordable property prices, but also because of their better growth prospects,” says the Consumer Sentiment Survey by Anarock.
It states the infrastructure thrust in these cities is also supported by government initiatives like Smart Cities and AMRUT, which have seen a much better uptake in smaller cities. When fully implemented, these initiatives will have a huge impact on the respective cities' real estate market.
Another study, this one by ICRA, has found the policy support by the Central government as well as improved cost competitiveness has increased the share of renewable energy (RE) based capacity in the overall installed power generation capacity to 21.8 per cent as on 31 March, 2019 from 12.9 per cent as on 31 March, 2014.
Similarly, the share of RE based generation in the overall generation mix at all level increased to 9.2 per cent in FY2019 from 5.6 per cent in FY2015.
With the re-election of the NDA, the Central government is expected to continue the policy focus on augmentation of RE based capacities, mainly wind and solar. “The re-election of the NDA government is a positive development for the RE sector and would provide policy stability for the sector. The support for schemes such as KUSUM, roof-top and off-grid solar applications is expected to continue under the new government, along with support for the growth of domestic manufacturing in the solar power segment.”
Like the above, there is so much optimism in various fields and it is the duty of the government to continue to march on the path of growth.
