JAMMU, June 12: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has constituted a three-member enquiry committee to investigate allegations of indiscipline and anti-party activities within its Jammu and Kashmir unit.
According to an official communication issued by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, the decision has been approved by the Congress President and takes immediate effect.
The committee has been tasked with examining reports of indiscipline in the party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit and submitting its findings to the party leadership.
Senior Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil has been appointed as the convenor of the panel. The other members of the committee are Dr. Amar Singh and Rafeek Khan.
The move comes amid reports of internal differences and alleged anti-party activities in the Jammu and Kashmir Congress unit, prompting the party high command to initiate a formal enquiry.
