CASO launched at main town Bandipora

The main town of Bandipora in the north district was cordoned off by security forces on Thursday.

Eyewitnesses told Greater Kashmir that joint contingents of and Kashmir police, Army and CRPF reached the vegetable market at old bus stand Bandipora this afternoon.

The cordon was also extended to Gulshan Chowk, and adjoining areas of the main market, including, Plan, the district's main town.

Reports said that the entry and exit points were sealed for any public moment adding the cordon was launched following inputs about the movement of suspected militants in the market.
