Jammu, Dec 5 (PTI) The president of political outfit United Democratic Party (UDP) was shot at and injured allegedly by an unidentified gunman in Jammu city, police said today.

UDP president Kuldeep Singh had gone to Preet Nagar area where an unidentified gunman shot at him, a police officer said.

The bullet hit Singh on his right hip and he was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital from where he was taken to Amritsar in for advance treatment, the official said.

A probe has been initiated after a case was registered and a manhunt launched to identify and nab the gunman, he added.
