At least 48 killed in two separate attacks in Afghanistan

Date:

In Afghanistan, at least 48 people have been killed and injured dozens others, in two separate attacks. The first attack took place at a campaign rally by President Ashraf Ghani and the other in the capital, Kabul. In the first blast yesterday, a suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden motorcycle into the entrance of the venue hosting Ghani's rally. President is reported to be safe and unharmed.

Second blast, just hours later, went off near Kabul's Green Zone, where the ministry, US embassy and NATO headquarters are located. Taliban claimed responsibility for both the blast.
