India rejects Pak’s Karachi claims, asks Islamabad to dismantle terror infra

New Delhi, Jun 28: India on Sunday strongly rejected Pakistan’s allegations linking it to the recent Karachi incident, describing the claims as baseless and urging Islamabad to dismantle terror infrastructure operating from its own territory instead of levelling accusations.

Responding to media queries, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India had taken note of Pakistani reports attempting to connect New Delhi with the Karachi incident.

“We have seen Pakistani reports making baseless allegations against India regarding the recent incident in Karachi. We categorically reject them,” Jaiswal said.

He urged Pakistan to look inward and take credible action against terrorist infrastructure on its soil rather than blaming others.

“Instead of pointing fingers at others, Pakistan would do better to look inwards, take credible action against the terror infrastructure on its territory and rid itself of its proclivity to rely on terrorism as an instrument of state policy,” the spokesperson said.

India’s response came after sections of the Pakistani media attempted to attribute responsibility for the Karachi incident to New Delhi, allegations that the government firmly dismissed.
