Jammu, Nov 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has invited nominations for the 2026 J&K Government Awards, to be conferred on the eve of Republic Day. A notification issued by the General Administration Department states that the awards will recognise excellence in fields including bravery, literature, performing arts, art and crafts, social reforms, public service, lifetime achievements, sports, media, environment, and industrial entrepreneurship.
Nominations have been requested from social and sports bodies, NGOs, universities, the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Administrative Secretaries for meritorious public service, and Divisional Commissioners. The last date for submitting nominations has been set as December 15, 2025.
