New Delhi, Oct 19: The government on Sunday extended the deadline for filing the monthly GSTR-3B tax return by five days, moving it to October 25.
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) issued a notification stating that GSTR-3B filers for September and the July-September quarter can now pay their taxes by the revised date.
“@cbic_india extends the GSTR-3B filing deadline,” the CBIC posted on X.
GSTR-3B is a summary return filed monthly and quarterly by registered taxpayers, with staggered due dates between the 20th, 22nd, and 24th of each month depending on the taxpayer category.
The extension was widely anticipated, as October 20 coincides with Diwali celebrations. (Agencies)
