Major Reshuffle in J&K Finance Department: 208 AAOs Transferred

JAMMU, Oct 19: In a sweeping administrative move aimed at strengthening financial management and improving operational efficiency, the Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has issued a major reshuffle involving 208 Assistant Accounts Officers (AAOs) across various government departments, divisions, and treasuries.

The large-scale transfer and posting order, numbered 123–Acctts of 2025 and dated October 18, 2025, was issued by the Directorate General of Accounts and Treasuries (DGAT), Finance Department. The move follows the recent promotion of several Accountants as AAOs under Order No. 122–Acctts of 2025.

The transferred officials have been directed to assume their new postings with immediate effect, and are deemed relieved from their previous stations. The reshuffle covers departments including Jal Shakti, PWD (R&B), Rural Development, Health and Medical Education, Industries and Commerce, Social Welfare, Education, Power, and various treasuries across Jammu and Kashmir.
