Covid kills five in J&K, 133 fresh cases

Srinagar reports 48 cases, case tally at 339,404, death toll reaches to 4,508, active cases reaches to 1,435, recovery rate at 98.25 percent

Covid takes a leap forward in Jammu and by taking toll of five lives as Thursday reported five deaths and 133 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,435.

 

With five more deaths, four in Kashmir Division ( 02 in Srinagar and one each in Budgam and Anantnag) and one in Doda, the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,508 and 133 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 339,404.

 

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,435 including 1,077 from Kashmir division and 358 from Jammu division.

 

With 139 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 333,461 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.

 

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 48 from Srinagar, 24 from Baramulla, 09 from Budgam, 03 from Pulwama, 03 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 03 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 04 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 31 from Jammu division include 19 from Jammu, 03 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 02 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 05 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
