Single National Curriculum

The education system of India has been in doldrum for decades. An out dated and heterogenous curriculumn are of thevblemishes which were responsible for creating class division and social inequality .The present Govt  should think and brought to implement the implement single national curriculum across the length and breadth of the country. The ambition is magnaimous anf there may be hurdles which without resolved can not fulfil the dream of having a standarised curriculum. The division of the education system is a key obstacle in thecpractality of uniform curriculum. The single national curriculum may bring uniformity but it can not guarantee equality when it comes to  socio-economic conditions.Even if the single nation curriculum addressed this anomity ,adopting to it will remainva challenge unless there are backup policies and training programs. For example, textbooks are not suitable  for a modern style education systems.Contemporary topics  such as STEM education  requires interaction with high end technology .Govt schools can not carry out the practice with the meagre budget they are provided with.Futhermore a shift from teacher based curriculum to the students centred curriculum requires an investment in education inbterm of teacher training programd.Ensuring the provisions of ghost teacher and schools ,increasing the number of students enrolment at the pre-primary and secondary levels ,education programs should also be a priority concern remained for the government .Moreover ,ascertaining optimum use of the budget for educational development without any spot of corruption and mis- management coupled with teacher training programs should also remain the  main agenda of policymaking of the government. Thus the education system is in dire need of an overhaul .I think working on single national curriculum alone will notvbear the disered result
