Don't you just love crisp, wrinkle free clothes? Well, who doesn't! But, to expect the same crisp form of garments while unpacking your bag on a holiday is quite disappointing at times. But with a few simple and very useful tips, you can find wrinkle free clothes on unpacking, just as the way you folded them in your suitcase.

It is an to pack clothes in such a way that they do not get crease on them. Here we share a few tips so that you can master this art and learn to pack clothes in the best possible manner.

    1. Use plastics: Clothes get wrinkles because of friction, so pack your clothes in plastics to reduce friction. You can also pack them in dry-cleaning bags and put one outfit in each bag. It will reduce wrinkles to a bare minimum and make your clothes look fresh off hangers.

    2. Pack clothes along with tissue papers: To get best results, pack your clothes along with tissue papers before placing it in a bag or suitcase. This will easily help it retain a fresh look.

    3. Lighten your load: If you fully jam your clothes in a suitcase or a bag, they will definitely get crushed. Clothes become wrinkled as soon as you shove that last leaden item into your bag. So take out clothes which are least required during the trip and lighten your bag.

    4. Roll clothes: It will help you save space. Jeans and T-shirts can be easily rolled and folded to reduce wrinkles. Take a pair of jeans and fold them lengthwise so that legs are stacked on top of each other. Now, starting from the cuff, roll your way up. But for T-shirts, you need to place face down, fold arms back, fold lengthwise, and roll up.

    5. Pack wrinkle-resistant clothes: If you don't have to follow a dress code, you can choose to pack wrinkle-resistant fabrics like nylon, polyester and lycra as they do not get crushed easily. Those who need to pack dresses or skirts, try jersey. Even if they are not properly folded, jersey always looks good.

    6. Place clothes in the square-fold way: The square fold is the best way to pack sweaters and other non-T tops. Close all buttons and lay shirts face down on a bed. Smooth away wrinkles. Fold material in at shoulders and lay arms flat along the body so that you create a two-inch overlap of material on both sides. Now fold up a third of the material from the bottom and overlap a third from the top.

    7. Overlap your garments: If you're packing delicate fabrics, minimize folding to prevent wrinkles. Place the bottom half of the garment in a suitcase and cover it with less-important clothes to form a cushion. Then fold the other half of the garment over the cushion. Your garment won't get creased in the middle. The overlapping technique can be used for multiple garments.
