3 cops injured in stone pelting by villagers in Poonch

Rajouri, Feb 11: Three policemen from Gursai police station of Poonch district in Region were injured on Friday after villagers pelted stones on them.

Officials told that in connection with some investigation, a team of police from Gursai police station reached Galuta village of Mendhar where villagers attacked the team and pelted stones over the team.

“Three police personnel including two Constables and one SPO were injured in the incident, who are receiving medical aid in the local hospital,” said officials.

Meanwhile, Police said to have taken up cognizance of this matter.
