    Uday flays Govt for surge in terror attacks, Asks to restore Statehood

    Jammu Tawi, July 21: Congress today staged a protest against the recent surge in terrorist attacks across the Jammu region. The protest was organised by Surinder Kumar Vice Chairman JKPCC SC Cell.

    The protesters headed by Uday Bhanu Chib, General Secretary Indian Youth Congress, assembled at Janipur Jammu, voiced their concerns over the increasing terror attacks and criticized the central government for its failure to ensure the safety and security of the region’s residents.

    Talking to media persons, Uday Chib criticized the central government, accusing it of implementing hollow policies that have led to the escalation in terrorist activities. Chib also criticized the government for what he termed as the weakening of the democratic framework in Jammu and Kashmir by centralizing more power with the Lieutenant Governor.

    Raising concerns over the lack of basic amenities in the region, Chib highlighted the daily struggles of the people. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are crying out for basic amenities, yet their pleas continue to fall on deaf ears,” he said.

    Uday Chib reiterated the Congress party’s demand for the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that this move is crucial for the region’s political and economic stability. “The BJP government must restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir to ensure that the people have a rightful say in their governance and future,” he demanded.

    The protest concluded with a call to action for the central government to address the issues raised and take immediate steps to restore peace and normalcy in the region.
