Trump Criticizes Biden and Harris at Michigan Rally
President Donald Trump launched blistering attacks against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris during a campaign rally in Michigan on Saturday. In a fiery speech to thousands of his supporters in Waterford Township, the President unleashed a barrage of insults against his opponents in the upcoming election.
Referring to Biden and Harris’ campaign events with restricted attendance due to COVID-19 concerns, Trump said “Nobody will show up to his events. Because he doesn’t have any people.” He mocking criticized Biden for often wearing a mask in public appearances, calling him “speechless” during his speeches. The President also insulted Senator Harris as a “monster” and described Biden as dumb.
The President repeatedly claimed that Biden’s policies would be “a disaster” for the country. He argued that Biden has been adopted by the radical left wing of the Democratic party and will be controlled by them. Trump portrayed Harris as a “fake” who changed her stance on important issues for political convenience. He also questioned Biden’s mental and physical abilities to handle the demanding job of the presidency.
The President’s supporters at the rally enthusiastically cheered him on as he launched relentless personal attacks on Biden and Harris. However, Trump’s harsh rhetoric could backfire as polls currently show Biden leading nationally and also ahead in key battleground states like Michigan. With less than 80 days to go before election day, the race appears set to get even more bitterly polarized and divisive.
