Tech Mahindra’s Europe Head Calls it Quits After Nearly Two Decades
In a surprising development, Vikram Nair, who spearheaded Tech Mahindra’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the past 19 years, has put in his resignation papers citing personal reasons. As per a regulatory filing by the IT major, Nair served as the President for EMEA Business and was considered a senior leader within the organization.
While no specific reason has been disclosed for Nair’s sudden decision to leave the role, the filing notes that Tech Mahindra has accepted his resignation with effect from late July 2024. Nair joined Tech Mahindra back in 2005 and successfully led the company’s expansion into newer European markets over the past decade and a half.
Taking over Nair’s expansive responsibilities will be Harshul Asnani, who currently oversees Tech Mahindra’s business across the Americas region. Asnani will add the charge of the EMEA operations to his existing portfolio.
Under Nair’s stewardship, Tech Mahindra strategically diversified its service offerings and client base in Europe to emerge as a prominent digital transformation partner to many European conglomerates. His stellar contributions helped elevate the Pune-based firm’s stature globally.
After such a long and fruitful association, Nair’s exit does come as a surprise. However, the company believes Asnani is ideally equipped to continue the growth momentum in this critical market. All in all, Nair leaves behind sizeable shoes to fill at Tech Mahindra as he begins a new professional chapter.
