SPARSH leprosy awareness campaign flagged off

District Development Commissioner, Tariq Hussain Ganai flagged off awareness vehicle for SPARSH leprosy awareness campaign which will remain in operation from 30th of January 2018 to 13th of February 2018.

The awareness vehicle will visit all blocks of the district and spread the message of awareness about leprosy and help such persons in getting the treatment.

It was given out that Union Health Ministry has decided to organize a massive awareness campaign nationwide on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi aimed at to intensify leprosy detection campaign to curb the crippling disease.

DDC asked the officers to put in concerted efforts to make the awareness programme a success and instructed them to involve more workers, besides appealed the people to cooperate in this Leprosy eradication awareness campaign.

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Saif Ud Din Khan Dy CMO Dr. Iqbal Bhat, DPMU Ramban and staff besides locals were present on the occasion.
