Jammu Tawi: Shalby Hospital Mohali recently inaugurated its cutting-edge kidney care unit, a significant milestone in the field of kidney transplant services within the region. Spearheaded by Dr. Priyadarshi Ranjan, former Director of the Kidney Transplant Unit at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, and Dr. KL Gupta, former HOD at PGI Chandigarh, the unit has already achieved a series of successful kidney transplants.
What sets this hospital apart is its innovative approach, allowing patients without a compatible donor to benefit from kidney transplants through ABO incompatible/swap or deceased donor procedures.
