Srinagar, Aug 14 : Dr Bilquees Shah, wife of Democratic Freedom party chairman Shabir Shah has written to the Home Minister Rajnath Singh, DG Prisons Tihar jail, CM Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal to shift her jailed husband from Tihar jail to a high security zone and provide him all medical help as he suffers from several ailments.
Dr Shah said that her husband has been put in Tihar Jail with criminals and other robbers who “abuse him daily and give him life threats”.
“I have written a letter to Home Minister, DG Prisons Tihar jail, CM Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, other administrators to shift my husband to another cell as he is being given life threats by the criminals who are jailed there, Also, I have appealed them to provide him necessary medicine as he is suffering from many ailments,” she told KNS.
“To ensure security and safety of my husband, Shabir Shah, I request you to issue directions to Jail Superintendent to shift him to high security zone as early as possible to keep him alive and also provide him all the necessary prescribed medication/diet as per the medical records. If anything happens to my husband, all the responsibility will be directly yours,” she writes in the letter.
