‘Scuffle’ between NC, Independent Candidate workers; FIR registered

Srinagar, 18 Sep (CNS): Police on Wednesday said that they have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation after a “scuffle” allegedly broke out between the National Conference workers and workers of one of the independent candidates of Beerwah constituency in Budgam district. As per the news agency, Budgam police, while taking cognizance of the alleged incident, said that they have registered a case FIR number 109/2024 under relevant sections of the law at Beerwah Police Station. To delve deep into the matter and to bring forth the things leading to the “scuffle”, police said that a thorough investigation had been set into motion. They further added that the incident between the two sides had taken place at the Checkpora area of Budgam’s Beerwah. (CNS)
