ROB Jammu organizes workshop on 100 Crore doses milestone

    Jammu Tawi, Nov 9: Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, J&K today organized a workshop on the achievement of ‘100 crore’ doses of Covid vaccination, in order to sensitize its field functionaries, field officers and officials towards information dissemination on issues related to second dose of Covid vaccination among masses. Neha Jalali, Joint Director, Regional outreach Bureau, J&K and Joint Director, PIB Jammu said that the crossing of 100 crore mark is a tremendous feat achieved by our country.

    Dr. Shahid Hussain, State Immunization Officer, J&K during the workshop said that J&K has achieved the mark of 100 percent first dose of vaccination of its eligible population & 61% of its total eligible population has received the second dose. He urged upon the eligible citizens to come forward for getting vaccinated by registering on COWIN App. He added that people who are disabled or sick and cannot reach vaccination centres are visited by health workers for vaccination through helpline number 104.

    Dr. J.P. Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu spoke about the challenges and strategy for administering second dose of Covid-19 vaccination. He stressed that the health workers have worked day and night to achieve hundred percent vaccination target and Samba being the first district in J&K to achieve hundred percent target. He informed that the UT of J&K has enough stock of Covid19 vaccination for all its eligible population. He urged upon the masses to get vaccinated as soon as possible & also follow the Covid appropriate behavior.The workshop was attended by the officers and officials of ROB & PIB Jammu, departmental artists of ROB, Jammu and empanelled artists of ROB Jammu.
