With the objective to bridge the gap between people and government, Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta held a public grievance redressal camp at Bhatindi, here today.
During the programme, the people apprised him about issues like road connectivity, unscheduled power cuts, insufficient ration supply, non-availability of drinking water and slow response of the administration.
While giving a patient hearing to people, Gupta assured them of early resolution of all the issues brought into his notice alongwith quick response and appropriate action from the concerned departments. He also issued on spot direction to the concerned officers for the redressal of genuine demands of the people.
Dy CM asserted that equitable and simultaneous development of all three regions of the state is top concern of present dispensation. He further said that the centre and state government has been working towards development and welfare of the people with maximum focus on social inclusion of the strata of people who are the intended beneficiaries of government schemes.
He further said that united we must move forth in the era of development and progress alongwith social and economic up-liftment of the weaker sections, downtrodden, women, youth and farmer which is prime agenda of both the governments.
The Dy. CM said that the government has laid full focus on development of infrastructure and providing better civic amenities to the people of the state.
Earlier Deputy CM convened a meeting with All JK Transporter Welfare Association.
While speaking on the occasion he appreciated the efforts of transporters and said that they work round the clock for the welfare of people and supply essential goods and commodities including food, vegetables, fruits, oil and other products. On the various demands by the transporters he assured them that all their genuine demands will be redressed.
