POTUS Consulted Neurologist on Multiple Occasions, Raising Health Concerns Before Election
As President Joe Biden vies for a second term, new records show his residence has seen frequent visits from a Parkinson’s specialist over the past year. According to documents obtained by journalists, a renowned DC-based neurologist met with Biden’s physician at least nine times since August 2023 at the White House Medical Center and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
The neurologist, who has nearly two decades of experience partnering with Walter Reed on neurological cases, specialized in treating Parkinson’s disease and providing support to the White House Medical Unit. The meetings were attended by Biden’s doctor as well as White House and Walter Reed staff. While the specific topics of discussion remain private, the recurrent consultations have added to issues surrounding Biden’s physical fitness and transparency around his medical evaluations.
Biden has faced ongoing questions from critics and the public about his medical fitness for office. He has experienced numerous instances of unsteadiness, slurred speech and apparent confusion during live appearances. However, the president declared he does not need independent assessment and dismissed concerns by stating he receives “cognitive tests every day.”
With the election looming, political opponents argue the situation demands full disclosure to voters. Ongoing interaction with Parkinson’s experts and underexplained medical visits close to the vote have intensified the spotlight on Biden’s health. As debate swirls, the lack of a publicly available recent medical report leaves many wondering what is truly known about the functioning and prognosis of the commander-in-chief.
