Jammu Tawi: PDL/TDL workers from Jammu Province led by its State President Akhil Sharma held a protest outside Press Club Jammu, here today which was attended by various vice presidents. The protesters expressed dismay over the delay in regularizing the services of PDL/TDL workers in JKPDD, despite the State Administrative Council’s decision to regularize services based on a common seniority maintained by the Chairman Divisional Level Promotion Committee, who happens to be the Chief Engineer Distribution JPDCL Jammu. The Corporations have already framed and passed/notified the regularization of PDL TDL Rules approved by the administrative department. However, under the ambit of these rules and existing seniority, 221 PDL/TDL staff were already regularized by the DPC Chairman and approved by the Board of JPDCL in vide order no. 59 of 2022 dated 17/06/2022. Orders in their favor were issued based on the district level seniorities pertaining to each district of Jammu province maintained by same Divisional level chairman DPC i.e Chief Engineer Distribution JPDCL Jammu. The protestors further added that a finalized seniority of PDL/TDL Jammu Province was issued and DPC exercise had begun with seeking details before parliamentary elections but with the change in guard in the office of Chief Engineer JPDCL, again letter seeking objections on the final seniority has been floated by the office of the Chief Engineer JPDCL. The protestors union appeals to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Principal Secretary and MD JPDCL to intervene into the matter and get this DPC conducted as justice delayed is justice denied.
