    OGW Held In Joint Operation In Kulgam; Grenades, Incriminating Material Recovered

    Kulgam, May 21: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said an Over Ground Worker (OGW) was arrested during a joint operation carried out by police, Army and CRPF in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

    Officials said a joint team comprising Kulgam Police, 34 Rashtriya Rifles and 18 Battalion CRPF intercepted a suspicious person during a naka operation at Mohammadpora village in Kulgam.

    During the search, the team recovered two hand grenades along with incriminating posters and other material from his possession, officials said.

    The accused was identified as Aadil Hussain Lone, son of Mohd Sadiq Lone and a resident of Mohammadpora, Kulgam. He was arrested on the spot.

    Police said a case under FIR No. 88/2026 has been registered at Police Station Kulgam under relevant sections of law, and further investigation has been initiated.

    Officials added that more arrests and recoveries are likely during the course of investigation. (KNC)
