A minor girl was ‘raped' in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district, a police official said here on Monday. He informed that they received a complaint from Abdul Ahad Bhat that his minor daughter was raped in Khanshib area of the central Kashmir district. Bhat told the police that 22-year-old Mohammad Maqbool Rather had tricked his daughter and raped her. The official said police took cognizance of the case and medical test of the minor girl was conducted. “The medical examination has confirmed the rape,” the official told Kashmir Dispatch, adding: a hunt has been launched to nab the accused who is on the run.
