Mayor Srinagar condoles demise of Sajadah Khanqah-e- Moula

Srinagar: In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Sajadah Nisheen Khanqah-e-Moula, Peerzada Abdur Rashid Shafiee Sahab who passed away at his Barzulla residence after a brief illness.Describing this as a personal loss to him and his family, Mayor Srinagar Junaid Mattu said in Peerzada Abdul Rashid Shafiee Sahab’s demise, the society had lost a great human being who will be remembered for ages to come for his piety, simplicity and service to the downtrodden.Incidentally, Sajadah Nisheen Khanqah-e-Moula Peerzada Abdur Rashid Shafiee was a close relative of Mayor Srinagar Junaid Mattu.“I have grown up seeing Peerzada Shafiee Sahab’s simplicity and piety and his dedication towards the poor and the downtrodden. This is a great loss to the society and I pray for peace to the departed soul”, Mayor Srinagar said.
