Manjeet owns a poultry, sheep farm, and orchard with over 30 varieties of fruits

Tral, Aug 07:  A youth from Tral is setting an example for all unemployed youth of and by starting his own units without any support from government.

Manjeet Singh (23) a resident of Chattergam Tral in Pulwama district after passing his 12th class in 2016-17 started his units and is presently providing to six youth.

Manjeet said that after passing his 12th class examination he decided to earn himself and bought some chicks and started raising them.

“Slowly and steadily, the number of cocks and hens started increasing and presently I have over 400 (desi) cocks and hens,” he said, adding sometime before he also started a sheep farm and has over 80 sheep presently.

Manjeet said that he also owns an orchard spread on over 35 kanals of land in which he has over 30 varieties of fruits.

“It is better for people to start their own business instead of wandering for government jobs. I am earning handsome revenue and providing jobs to around six youths who work continuously with me,” he said.

“My family, especially my father has always supported me,” he said, adding that had the government supported him he would have been at a very advanced stage this time.

“My request to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir will be that don't wait for government jobs but start your own units so that you will be a job provider instead of a job seeker,” Manjeet said.
