Malayalam actress Bhavana allegedly kidnapped, molested; driver held

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, Malayalam actress Bhavana was allegedly abducted and molested. The incident took place last night in the Ernakulam district of Kerala.

 

According to ANI, Bhavana's former driver Martin, who worked with the actress for a day, has been held. However, another driver named Sunil, who, according to police, is the main accused, is absconding.

 

Indian Express.com reports that the horrific incident took place when the actress was on her way back home from the shoot. Bhavana was returning from a shoot when a tempo traveller followed her. The tempo hit the actress' car in near Nedumbassery Airport in Athani.

 

Soon, a fight ensued and that's when the men in the tempo pushed aside her driver Martin and got inside the car. It is reported that the men, drove the car around for at least one-and-a-half hours during which they took and of the actress.

 

They dropped her at Palarivattom junction and fled away after which the actress herself drove the car and reached out to a film producer who stayed nearby.

 

According to police, Bhavana was held in the car for an hour, after which, she was dropped near her residence at around 10.30 pm.

 

A case of kidnapping and molestation has been registered against the accused and the investigation is on.
