Jammu, Mar 10: The University of Jammu is gearing up for the successful host of three-day Inter-University Vice Chancellor's Trophy to start from March 15 at the venue.
Director, Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu, Daud Iqbal Baba here on Friday said that three days Inter-University Vice Chancellor's Trophy is to be hosted from March 15 to 17.
The participants from various universities of the Union Territory will be taking part in the disciplines of Cricket, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Bakeball, Athletics and Volleyball during the championships, he said.
“All arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the events in all the six disciplines,” he said.
Notably, the Jammu University has taken special initiatives in prioritizing sports activities vis-?-vis with academics for the students pursuing higher studies in the institution.
Around 30 sports academies in different disciplines are being established in the University out of which, eight are in functional mode.
