RAJOURI/JAMMU, June 16: A suspected Pakistani drone was sighted over a forward village along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, prompting a search operation by security forces, officials said on Tuesday.
According to officials, the drone-like object with a blinking light was seen entering the Indian side from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the Sunderbani sector late Monday night. It briefly hovered between Mahadev Gap and Kalal village before returning across the border.
Security forces launched a search operation in the area on Tuesday morning to ascertain whether any payload, including narcotics or weapons, had been airdropped.
However, no suspicious or objectionable material was recovered during the operation, officials said. (Agencies)
