JK reports 73 new Covid cases, 2 die in Kashmir

Tawi, March 12-The Government on Friday informed that 73 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 14from the Jammu division and 59 from division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 127436. Also 02 COVID-19 deaths have been reported from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 80 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 06 from Jammu Division and 74 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 127436 positive cases, 887 are Active Positive, 124578 have recovered and 1971 have died; 729 in the Jammu division and 1242 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 5512452 test results available, 5385016 samples have been tested as negative till 12th March, 2021.
To date, 1380334 persons have been enlisted for an observation which included 28460 persons in-home quarantine including facilities operated by the government, 887 in isolation and 116588 in-home surveillance. Besides, 1232428 persons have completed their surveillance period.
