    J&K records 450 fresh positive cases, tally mounts to 19,869

    Over 59 per cent of patients recover

    Srinagar, July 30:  and Wednesday recorded 450 fresh cases of COVID-19 pandemic including 67 travellers taking the total number of positive cases to 19869.

    With 450 new cases, the tally of positive cases in J&K has reached to 19869 including 15568 from Kashmir and 4301 from Jammu division.

    In Jammu Division, 1027 including 545 recoveries and 17 deaths are from Jammu district, 511 including 330 recoveries and 01 death are from Kathua, 646 including 246 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Rajouri, 436 including 328 recoveries and 01 death are from Udhampur,  534 including 340 recoveries and one death are from Ramban, 407 including 243 recoveries and 01 death are from Samba, 269 including 139 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Doda, 209 including 142 recoveries and 01 death are from Poonch, 136 including 54 recoveries are from Kishtwar and 126 including 58 recoveries are from Reasi.

    Officials told among 450 new cases, 367 belong to Kashmir division while as 83 are from Jammu Division, officials said, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir Division has reached to 15568 including 9417 recoveries while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 4301 including 2425 recoveries and 26 deaths.

    They said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7662 including 5812 from Kashmir division and 1850 from Jammu division.

    With 520 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 11842 which is 59.60 percent of the total cases which was over 63 percent a few days before.

    Pertinently, Srinagar district alone has 4658 positive cases which is more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division where total cases are 4301

    “Cases tested positive in J&K include 183 from Srinagar, 42 from Baramulla, 02 from Kulgam, 06 from Shopian, 20 from Anantnag, 16 from Kupwara, 32 from Pulwama, 20 from Budgam, 33 from Bandipora and 13 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 87 from Jammu division include 38 from Jammu, 13 from Rajouri, 09 from Udhampur, 01 from Ramban, 03 from Samba, 04 from Doda, 12 from Poonch, 02 from Kishtwar and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

    As per officials figures, 4658 positive cases including 113 deaths and 1887 recoveries are from Srinagar, 1877 including 68 deaths and 1309 recoveries are from Baramulla, 1493 including 1162 recoveries and 28 deaths are from Kulgam, 1422 including 23 deaths and 1131 recoveries are from Shopian, 1278 including 24 deaths and 994 recoveries are from Anantnag, 1085 including 791 recoveries and 20 deaths are from Kupwara, 1395 including 725 recoveries and 19 deaths are from Pulwama, 1248 including 700 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Budgam, 711 including 452 recoveries and 12 deaths are from Bandipora and 401 including 260 recoveries and 06 deaths are from Ganderbal.

    As per the daily information bulletin, 366,937 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 47,281 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 7662 persons are in hospital isolation while 06 persons are under hospital quarantine.

    According to the bulletin, 271,040 persons have completed surveillance period and 40,583 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 627,387 samples are available.

    Out of 627,387 the number of samples tested negative stands at 607,518 while as 19,869 have been tested positive, among them 7,662 are active and 11,842 persons have recovered—(KNO)
