Jammu, Dec 29: A suspicious balloon bearing Pakistani markings, including the national flag and the letters “PIA” (Pakistan International Airlines), was found in the Akhnoor area of Jammu district on Monday, prompting an investigation by security forces.
The balloon, resembling an aeroplane, was recovered from the Pragwal area and subsequently seized by the Indian Army. The markings “PIA” were written on the object in both English and Urdu, sources said.
Army officials have initiated a probe to ascertain how the balloon reached the area and whether there is any security implication linked to its presence.
