In Himachal Pradesh, the death toll in yesterday's building collapse incident at Kumarhatti in Solan district has risen to 7.
The deceased include one civilian and six Army personnel. So far 28 people including 17 army personnel and 11 civilians have been rescued and admitted in the nearby hospitals.
Search and rescue operation is underway. Two teams of National Disaster Response Force are at the spot for rescue work.
The four-storey building, which housed a restaurant, was on the sliding zone collapsed amidst rains trapping around more than 40 people including 30 army personnel who came to the restaurant for lunch.
