Jammu/Srinagar, Sept 18:
The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has released the shortlist of candidates for the post of Research Assistant, advertised under Notification No. 04 of 2025/RR/RC dated August 11, 2025.
According to the notification issued by Registrar Recruitment, 232 applications were received for the positions. Since it was not feasible to conduct interviews of all applicants, the Hon’ble Committee for Appointment of Oath Commissioners and Research Assistants recommended shortlisting candidates in the ratio of 1:5, based on their academic merit in Law.
The Chief Justice approved the recommendation, and the shortlisted candidates have now been called for viva-voce/interviews.
Jammu Division candidates will appear on 29th and 30th September 2025 at the High Court Complex, Jammu.
Kashmir Division candidates will appear on 6th and 7th October 2025 at the High Court Complex, Srinagar.
The shortlisted candidates must report two hours prior to their scheduled interview, carrying original certificates, including academic qualifications, domicile certificate, and application form, along with self-attested photocopies.
The Court clarified that:
Shortlisting does not guarantee eligibility unless all documents are verified.
Any deficiency in eligibility may lead to disqualification.
No individual call letters will be issued.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending interviews.
The notice also emphasized that candidates must produce valid ID proof such as Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License, or Passport at the time of appearance.
This recruitment aims to fill vacant and anticipated positions of Research Assistants in the High Court. The process highlights the Court’s effort to ensure transparency and merit-based selection in line with established procedures.
