GDC Kathua felicitates competition winners

Tawi, Oct 02: Principal, GDC, Kathua, Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia felicitated
Mohit Verma, student of Semester IVth of GDC, Kathua in the august presence of
Dr. Seema Malpotra, Convener (Literary Activities) and HOD, Department of English
and senior faculty members including Prof. Rakesh Jasrotia, Head, Department of
Chemistry, Dr. Chetna Gupta, Dr. Poonam, Head, Department of Dogri and Dr. Eva

Sharma. He was declared third in the on spot painting competition organised by
Department of Students Welfare (DSW), University of Jammu in commemoration of
Gandhi Jayanti. The Principal applauded the efforts of Convener and committee
members. He also appreciated the parctipants, Pratham Sharma of Semester IVth,
Apoorva Sharma of Semester IVth, Damini of Semester IInd, and Priya Devi of
Semester IVth for their participation and stressed on the need to conduct more of
such activities for igniting imagination, instill love of learning and holistic
development of students. He added that the role of teacher is very crucial in today's
time to motivate students on the righteous path and to enlighten them with what is
right and what is wrong. He wished the winner to set high standards and surpass all
benchmarks of excellence with his unflinching commitment.
