Fresh spike in J&K, 505 new cases

Tawi, July 21: Jammu and Thursday reported 505 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the number of active cases to 2,077 besides that no death was reported in the last 24 hours in UT.

An official bulletin notes that among 505 new cases, 228 belong to Kashmir division while as 277 to Jammu division.

 

“Among the fresh 505 cases today, 144 are from Srinagar, 38 from Baramulla, 06 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama  23 from Kupwara, 03 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 02 from Ganderbal, 04 each from Kulgam and one from Shopian in Kashmir division while 277 are from Jammu division that include 200 from Jammu district, 25 from Udhampur, 05 from Rajouri, 05 from Doda, 14 from Kathua , 06 from Samba, 11 from Kishtwar, 08 from Poonch and 03 from Reasi,” said the official.

As per the daily information bulletin 6,598,591 persons in J&K are under observation while 328 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 2,077 persons are in isolation.

Positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 289,458 including 286,132 recoveries and 2,425 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 168,998 including 165,486 recoveries and 2,336 deaths.

Total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 2,077 including 901 from Kashmir division and 1,176 from Jammu division.
