    FIR against 5 for raising ‘pro-Pak’ slogans in Kishtwar

    : Police have registered an FIR against five people for allegedly raising Pro-Pakistan slogans in mountainous district Kishtwar of Jammu region of State during the bandh, called by the separatists groups.

    “An FIR was registered against five people for allegedly raising ‘pro-Pak' slogans and disturbing the peace in Kishtwar district during a protest,” a senior police officer said here today.

    He added that situation is peaceful in the district at present. Pertinently Kishtwar observed shutdown in response to the call given by the separatist groups and local clerics against the alleged use of force in by security forces.

    Since July 9, several protests had erupted in the Valley after the elimination of self-styled Hizbul commander Burhan Wani on July 8.
